Leadership
I'm reflective by nature. I want to understand how a system fits together before I get into the details, including what's actually driving other people's actions. Once I understand that, it's much easier to find common ground and move a team toward something shared.
A few years ago I wrote a leadership statement as part of a program at AstraZeneca. I don't follow it perfectly, but I come back to it when I need direction:
I believe in the intrinsic value of respect and fairness. I act on data, apply systems-thinking and coaching to navigate the complexities of decision-making to guide my team. I'm committed to fostering empowerment, I'm advocating for my team, and I'm confronting challenges with empathy and clarity. I can learn from anyone, I lead by example, and I'm only as good as my last deliverable.
Exercise
I train to stay healthy and to compete. Running and swimrunning are where I put most of my training time. I try to consistently log 40-50 km of running weekly. Additionally, I try to swim 1-2 times per week, plus some additional SkiErg, prehab strength and seasonal activities (open water swim, nordic skiing, biking, etc).
I like to compete and push my limits when it counts, but I try to stay disciplined over the long stretches in between, since consistency is the key to long-term, injury-free progression. My overarching goal is to stay active for as long as possible.
Moments like when I run with our daughter as she learnt how to bike, without me catching my breath, made every workout worth it.
I log the training on Strava. You can also see my athletic results and current base training program, and use the fuel calculator I built.
Learning
Life is about learning and experiences. I'm drawn to books and ideas about how innovations, technologies and people shape our society. I studied mechanical engineering with a MSc in management, innovations and economics at Chalmers. During the last year, I also studied psychology at half-time. The mix of technology, business development and leadership still shapes what I read and how I think. I keep track of what I'm reading on Goodreads.
Family
I live with my wife Hanna and our two daughters Elvina (2022) and Malva (2026). My family is the anchor that makes the rest (work, training, building things) feel worth doing well rather than just doing a lot.
Career
My career has mostly been about translating between worlds, and getting people to work together — development and commercial, global and local, systems and users. It's rewarding to have learned enough depth about different perspectives to find clarity on a shared, and justified cause. That throughline has taken me from consulting through PMO leadership to quality systems leadership in a regulated pharma environment today. In 2026 I was selected for the Nova 111 List as one of Sweden's top young professionals in Healthcare & Life Sciences. (Which at minimum confirms I'm still young and have potential.) More on my background is on LinkedIn.
